Line 6’s Propellerhead Product Specialist Matt Piper provides insight into his music creation process including the use of Blocks, the Comp Editor, and some of his favorite Rack Extensions. You will learn music creation techniques and workflows as well as plenty of production tips and tricks along the way.
Advanced Sound Design and Mixing Techniques
Propellerhead’s James Bernard shows you some of his techniques for sound sculpting and mixing in Reason. Observing James’s workflow will provide you with techniques you can apply to your own projects, and you’ll learn some new mixing tricks as well.

Mat Lejeune is a Grammy Award winning (“Mackey: Lonely Motel – Music From Slide” – Rinde Eckert, Steven Mcakey & Eighth Blackbird) recording engineer, and has been perfecting his craft for the last 13 years on almost every genre of music from classical to metal, russian folk to hip hop. He’s worked with Billy Corgan, Sting, Rhianna, Mavis Staples, Jennifer Hudson, Buddy Guy, O.A.R., DMX and Ramsey Lewis to name a few.
Mat will share some of the techniques and tips he has learned and uses, to help you get the best sounding mixes for your music, as well as essential tips on how to save time and money in the studio when you are doing any pre-production work at home.

Chris Steinmetz is a lauded engineer and producer from Chicago, IL, who has been recording heavy-hitting artists for over 20 years. His credentials read like a Who’s Who of legendary musicians and world-class studios: from Paul Simon to Kanye West, from Abbey Road to Skywalker Sound. And most recently, Stonecutter Recording Studios.
Chris will share some of his knowledge from working in the music industry and cover topics such as the differences between a production company and a record label, what it’s like to run a record label in today’s ever changing music industry and many other topics.
