Workshops from:

1:00 pm - Gerry Bassermann - Using the Reason Sequencer and Synth Programming
Discover how you can enhance your tracks using arrangement tricks and automation in the Reason Sequencer. Also, how to program or edit existing synth/sampler patches to achieve greater articulation and punch for your sounds. Gerry will also show powerful sound design techniques using Thor, and the NN-XT sampler, as well as the Combinator, and programming possibilities using Propellerhead Hypersampled Refills.

2:00 pm - Kurt Kurasaki (Peff) - High Definition Effects Programming
This tutorial will explore basic concepts for optimizing track effects – both send and insert, especially how to use the RV700 reverb to enhance the sound without losing clarity. In addition, Peff will demonstrate how to use Reason’s Mastering Effects suite and really add power to the sound.

3:00 pm - Bon Harris
Bon will show how he uses Reason when producing artists like Marilyn Manson, Smashing Pumpkins, Nitzer Ebb and scoring for Film and Television.

4:00 pm - Kevin Teasley
Kevin will show how he used Reason to score theatrical trailers for major film projects like The Day The Earth Stood Still, Mummy 3 and Indiana Jones.

About the Artists

Bon Harris
Bon Harris is one of the founding members of Nizter Ebb and has worked with Depeche Mode, The Smashing Pumpkins, Evanescence, AFI, Avril Lavigne, Bush, and Billy Corgan, who asked Bon to co-produce his solo album, TheFutureEmbrace. Harris' current band, Maven, was recently signed by Cordless Recordings. He also worked closely with Marilyn Manson, programming electronics and recording for his 2000 album Holy Wood.

Kevin Teasley
Kevin has composed music and sound designed for commercials, television shows, radio, and feature film trailers. He's worked with clients such as Saab Automobiles, Grolsch Beer and HBO. Recent trailer work includes Night at the Museum, Dreamgirls, V for Vendetta, I Am Legend, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Mummy 3.

Gerry Bassermann
Gerry Bassermann is Propellerhead Software's Director of North American Markets and an accomplished musician. He holds several degrees in music composition and performance and currently owns and operates OpusNine (a project studio in the San Francisco Bay area). For over twenty years, he has worked for many prominent music companies, as a product designer, demonstrator and musical consultant.

Kurt Kurasaki (Peff)
Kurt Kurasaki, author of Power Tools for Reason 3.0, is a noted Reason user with credits in Keyboard and Computer Music magazines. He also works with Propellerhead Software as a sound designer and tutorial developer. Known as Peff throughout the online ReBirth and Reason communities, Kurt is one of the originators of ReBirth Mods.
